1 cup sugar
1 cup margarine (I use butter)
1 cup raisins
5 Tblsp. raisin juice
2 eggs
2 cups oatmeal (old fashioned oats)
2 cup flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Put raisins in bowl and pour hot water over them to soften. Cream sugar and butter together. Add eggs and then other ingredients. Drop by spoonsful on cookie sheet and bake at 350º F about 12 minutes until lightly browned. Cool on cooling rack.

Aunt Anna was Grandpa Ludwig's sister. This recipe always turns out well and is my "go to" when I want oatmeal cookies. You can add chocolate chips if you like as well.
