Pepper Steak Recipe

1 1/2 lb. round steak or sirloin steak
1/4 c. salad oil
1 c. water
1 med onion cut into 4 slices
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp. ginger
2 med green peppers cut into 3/4 inch strips
1 T. cornstarch
2 T. soy sauce
2 med tomatoes
Hot cooked rice

Heat oil in lg. skillet.Cook meat in oil turning often until brown about 5 min.
Stir in water, onion, garlic and ginger.
Heat to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer 12 to 15 min.
Add green pepper , cook another 5 min.

Blend cornstarch and soy sauce.
Stir into meat mixture.
Cook stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils.
Boil and stir 1 min.
Cut each tomato into 8ths. and place on meat mixture.
Cover and cook over low heat til tomatoes are heated through.

Serve over rice.

Can also be served over noodles(I like noodles)
