¾ cup Shortening (Crisco)
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 c. flour
2 ts[/ spda
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp ginger
½ tsp cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, egg and molasses. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture, mix thoroughly. Make into small balls and roll in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Do not overbake.
