unbaked pie shell
1/4 cup oleo (margarine, shortening or butter)
3/4 cup Karo syrup (light or dark)
pinch of salt
2/3 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
vanilla
3 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Cream all ingredients, except nuts, together well - until frothy

Stir in nuts or cover pastry with nuts & pour batter over them (this is less messy)

Bake for 50 minutes or until knife come out clean when inserted

Cool & serve with whipped cream
