1 stick softened non-salted Butter
1 cup Sugar
2 Eggs
3 over-ripened Banana's - mashed
1 ½ tsp Vanilla
3 T "Sour Milk" (1 tsp Baking Powder / 1 tbsp White Vinegar / 2 tbsp whole milk)
2 cups "All-Purpose" flour

Preheat oven to 350º. With an electric mixer, beat the eggs and sugar together until creamed. Add the eggs, mix, add the vanilla, mix, add the sour milk, mix, add the flour 1/2 cup at a time until mixed, let sit for 5-10 minutes, then pour into a prepared (spray with Baker's Joy) loaf pan. Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown.

This recipe is from my Great Grandmother - Fern. She was my Grandmother Margaret's mother. She made this using "soured milk" in the late 1800's because sour cream was not readily available.
