Personal Notes:
The 1st time I ever made this cake was a disaster. It was 1996. Grandma Clayton (Grammies mom) ended up getting really sick and was put in the hospital. When she finally came through and we all thought that everything was going to be ok she asked me to make this cake for the nursing staff because they took care of her very well. I didn't grease and flour the pan adequately so when I went to turn it out of the pan it totally fell apart. I really hope you enjoy making this as much as I do.
