3 c. stone-ground cornmeal
½ c. all-purpose flour (I use Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free 1 to 1 baking flour
1 t. soda
2 t. salt
2 t. baking powder
3 eggs
3 T. melted shortening
Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cornmeal, flour soda, salt and baking powder. In another bowl beat eggs, shortening and some buttermilk.

Add wet mixture to dry mixture and more buttermilk 'till looks right.

Pour into hot, greased cast-iron skillet and bake @ 400º 'till very brown on top.
