2/3 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Powdered sugar for dusting
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until light, about 3 to 4 minutes. Add vanilla and eggs, and mix well. Add flour, cocoa, salt, and baking soda. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Drop cookies onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 9 to 11 minutes, until mostly set in the centre. Do not overbake. The cookies will set up more as they cool.

Dust with powdered sugar.
