2 1/2 cups unsifted flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2/3 cup crisco
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 8 oz can crushed pineapple
1 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp vanilla
1/2 cup pecans or walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients. Cream together sugar and shortening. Blend eggs. Drain pineapple and reverse 4 tablespoons of juice for icing. Add pineapple and water to creamed mixture, also add vanilla and nuts. Mix well. Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Cook in 350 degree oven for about 12 minutes or until lightly brown around edges. Remove from baking sheet immediately. Cool cookies on rack and ice with pineapple frosting.

Pineapple Frosting

Blend 3 tablespoons of melted butter, 4 tablespoons of pineapple juice and 2 cups of powdered sugar. Mix until smooth, spread on top of cookies.
