2 1/2 c. whole milk scalded
5 egg yolks
1/2 c sugar
3T corn starch
1/4 t. salt
3 T butter
1 t. vanilla
3 bananas

Directions:
Directions:
Heal milk until scalding. Beat eggs yolks and sugar corn starch and salt, then whisk all together.
Pour about 1/2 cup of the scalded milk into the egg mixture and whisk. Add another 1/2 cup milk and whisk. now pour egg mixture into rest of milk mixture and which over medium high heat for at least 1 minute until custard sticks to wooden spoon. Add 3 T butter and vanilla and stir. cool over ice cubes.
Slice 3 bananas in overlapping circles in a cooled baked pie crust. Poor in cooled custard.
