"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, at room temperature
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, well drained
¼ c. finely chopped green pepper
1 tbs. finely chopped onion
½ tsp. salt
1 c. finely chopped walnuts, divided

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, well drained pineapple, green pepper, onion, salt and ½ cup chopped walnuts until well combined. (I use my hands to mix it up.) Spoon cream cheese mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap. Wrap in the plastic and shape into a ball. Place in freezer for 10 minutes until easy to handle. Remove from freezer, unwrap and press nuts down gently. (I put nuts on a plate and roll the ball in it while gently pressing down to make sure that nuts will stay on ball.) Cover and refrigerate overnight. Serve with crackers.
