1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
2 3/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder

Icing:
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsp milk

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F. Combine flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.

2. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar together until smooth. Add egg and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients

3. Roll dough into 1 inch balls, slightly squishing them flat. Place on baking sheet

4. Bake for 8-10 minutes (or until slightly browned). Remove to wire racks to cool.

5. For Icing: Cream butter. Beat in sugar. Add milk. Add more sugar or milk to get desired consistency. I add ~1tsp vanilla extract for flavor, and occasional food coloring to fit the occasion.
