4 eggs
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup Crisco oil (liquid in bottle)
1/2 teaspoon anise oil. If you use extract, then 1/4 of the large bottle of anise
2 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder

Powdered sugar for sprinkling

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs. Add sugar and oil/extract. Mix together.
Add half the flour and mix.
Mix remaining flour and baking powder and mix all together.

Make two rows of the dough on a cookie sheet. Refrigerate 10 minutes

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Loosen the two rows and then cut into one-inch slices. Turn each slice on its side and bake another 5 minutes. Turn over to other side and bake 5 minutes. Don’t let it brown.

Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
