Dough-
2 cups all purpose flour
⅓ cup sugar
1 Tablespoon baking powder
¼ cup shortening
½ cup milk
1 large egg, beaten
2 teaspoons lemon extract

Frosting-
2 cups powdered sugar
⅓ cup shortening
¼ cup warm milk, divided
1 teaspoon lemon extract

Directions:

Heat oven to 375º Coat baking sheet lightly with cooking spray

Combine flour, sugar and baking powder in a large bowl. Beat in shortening with electric mixer on low speed until completely blended. Add milk, egg and extract; mixing until just blended. Roll dough into 1inch balls. Place 1 inch apart on baking sheet. Bake 10 -15 minutes or until lightly browned.


Frosting- Beat powdered sugar, shortening, 2 Tblsp warm milk and lemon extract in medium sized bowl with an electric mixer on low, until blended. Gradually beat in additional milk until desired consistency is reached
