1 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 cup sugar
⅔ cup packed brown sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups Robin Hood All-Purpose Flour
1 cup quick-cooking or old-fashioned rolled oats, if desired*
2 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semisweet chocolate chips or 2 cups candy-coated chocolate pieces

*if not using oats, use ⅔ cup of flour

Directions:

Heat oven to 350ºF. Beat margarine, sugars, peanut butter, vanilla, and eggs vigorously in large bowl until creamy and well blended. Stir in flour, oats, baking soda, and salt. Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
