¾ cup butter
2 cups medium brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking powder
5 cups flour
¾ cup shortening
4 eggs, well beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the shortening and butter together with the sugar. Add the well beaten eggs and beat well. Sift all the dry ingredients together and add to the first mixture. Pack the dough into a butter carton or form into a roll. Wrap in wax paper and chill several hours. Slice as thin as possible with a sharp knife. Bake 10 minutes at 375ºF.
