1/4 lb. salt pork, diced
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 c. boiling water3 medium potatoes, diced
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 8-oz. cans minced clams
2 cups of milk
1 c. light cream
thyme

Directions:
Directions:
Fry salt pork in skillwt until brown and crisp; remove, drain. Saute onion in remaining fat until golden and clear. Add water, pototes, salt and pepper: cover, simmer until potoes are tender. Add clams with liquid, heat. Add milk and cream; season to taste. Simmer until ready to serve, do not allow to boil. Serve in bowls topped with salt pork and a dash of thyme.
