4lbs potatoes, cooked
6 to 8 large eggs, hard boiled and sliced
1 c sugar
1/2 c vinegar
4 tbsp flour
2 c water
1 lb bacon
1/4 c butter
1/8 c onion, finely chopped
2tsp - 1tbsp salt
dash of pepper

Directions:
Directions:
1) Heat water to boiling
2) Cut up bacon in small pieces & fry
3) mix 1/4 c bacon drippings with butter in fry pan
4) add flour & sugar
5) stir until smooth
6) add onion & seasonings
7) Gradually add vinegar & water
8) Cook until thick, stirring continually
9) Layer in casserole dish, potatoes, bacon, sliced egg, sauce, etc.
