Ingredients:
1 Pound butter, Softened
1 2/3 Cups Sugar
4 Eggs
1 Teaspoon Brandy
2 Teaspoons Anise Seed or 6 teaspoons of ouzo (either is optional)
6-7 Cups Flour (+/-)

1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 Cup Almonds (blanched, toasted & chopped)
1 Cup Sesame Seed
1 egg beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter until fluffy. Add sugar, eggs, brandy and vanilla and continue beating. Slowly add flour, and baking powder. Dough should come away from sides of mixer and not be sticky. Mix in almonds and knead.

Form into rolls about 12” long and about 1” high and 2” wide. Place on greased baking pan or use parchment paper. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Score top with sharp knife forming diagonal ½” slices and bake at 350 degrees until light brown, about 30 minutes.

Remove from oven and cut each slice through. Lay on side and bake again until light brown, about 10 minutes. It is your preference if you score before the first baking or wait and slice through before the second baking.
