6 eggs
6 c canned pumpkin
2 ¼ c sugar
1 ½ tsp salt
5 tsp cinnamon
5 tsp vanilla
3 tsp nutmeg
4 T melted butter
2 13 oz cans of evaporated milk
½ c cream or ½ & ½

Crust
2 ⅔ c flour
1 tsp salt
1 c Crisco
½ c cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º.
Beat eggs, add sugar and cream together in a large bowl. Add canned pumpkin and salt, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg. Mix together. Add melted butter, milk, and cream. Beat until well blended.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl add flour and salt and mix. Cut in Crisco using pastry blender or 2 knives until the chunks are pea sized. Add cold water. Mix until a soft dough forms. Let rest for 5 minutes. Roll out onto floured surface with floured rolling pin to fit size of pie pan.
Carefully fold pie crust in fourths and place in pie pan. Pinch edges to pie likeness to form edge. Fill with pumpkin mixture. Bake at 425º for 15 minutes. Then reduce heat to 350º and continue baking for 45 minutes. Pie is done when a knife is inserted into middle of pie and comes out clean.
