3/4 cup sugar
1 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
3/4 cup butter
1 egg
2 T water
1 t almond extract
2 1/2 cups flour
Whole Almonds

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl, combine ingredients on low speed for one minute. Measure flour and gradually add flour at low speed until just combined. Stir in nuts. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheet. Flatten balls slightly with glass dipped in sugar. Press whole almond firmly into center of each cookie. Bake at 350º for 8-12 minutes until firm to touch but not brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
