1 Cup Chopped Dates
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Crisco
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 Cup Boiling Water
1 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Egg - 2 if small
3/4 tsp. Salt

Topping
1/2 Cup Butter or Oleo
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Coconut or 1 can
1 Cup Pecans
1 1.2 T Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix and bake at 350 degrees.

Topping
Melt butter, then add other ingredients and let boil together, then spread on cake and put in back of oven to simmer a few minutes.
