1 C shortening
½ C granulated sugar
½ C brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 c flour
½ tsp. Soda
½ tsp. Salt
½ C nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugars
together. Add egg and vanilla. Add
dry ingredients that have been sifted together. Mix in nuts.
Form dough into balls and roll in
fine sugar. Put on cookie sheets and
press flat with a glass. Dip bottom
of glass in sugar occasion-
ally so it won't stick. Bake at 350 Degrees
for 10 minutes.
