1 c. soft butter
2⁄3 c. packed brown sugar
1⁄3 c. sugar
1 lg. egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. canned pumpkin
2 c. flour
1½ tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp baking powder

Frosting:
¼ c. soft butter
4 oz. soft cream cheese
2 c powdered sugar
1½ tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350° F. For cookies: In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add pumpkin and mix well. Combine the dry ingredients and gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto greased baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly browned. Move to wire rack and cool completely. For frosting: beat the ingredients until light and fluffy. Frost cooled cookies. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
