1/2 cup raisins
1 cup brown sugar
1 tbs corn starch
1/2 tsp allspice
1 tbs butter

Cookie Dough
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs
dash salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup milk
4 tsp baking powder
5 1/2 cups of flour

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare filling by boiling raisins in 1 cup of water. When plump, thicken with cornstarch and add allspice and butter.

Mix together sugar and shortening, add ingredients except for flour mix. Stir in flour and roll 1/8th inch thick. Cut in disks with cookie cutter and place one layer on each cookie sheet. Put a spoonful of raisin filling on each cookie and cap with another cookie
Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
