3 cups milk, scalded
1 package yeast
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
2 cups flour
Scald mill and let cool. Add next four ingredients and let rise until bubble form.

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening or butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and shortening, adding butter and flour enough to make a stiff dough. Knead until elastic.
Add 3/4 cups raisins. Let rise until double. Mold into buns and bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
Dissolve 1/4 cup sugar in boiling water. Put on top of buns when hot.
