2 beaten eggs
2 cups brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup shortening


8 tbsp. cocoa
2 1/3 cups of flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda


1 cup sour milk (sour milk with about 1 tbsp. vinegar)

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs until light.
Add sugar and mix well.
Add vanilla.
Add shortening.

(In separate bowl stir flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda)

Add dry ingredients to above mixture alternating with milk.

Drop small spoonfuls on baking sheet (I usually bake two sheets at a time.)

Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes.

While cookies are still warm, frost with butter cocoa icing.

This is the only recipe I use shortening in.

I do not have a recipe for the frosting but this is my best guess:

In small mixer bowl add at least 2 cups of powdered sugar, 4-8 tbsp. cocoa and slowly add warm milk until consistency is right and add 1 tsp. of vanilla.
