Ingredients for cake:
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg, beaten
4-ounce can fruit cocktail

Ingredients for topping:
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix dry cake ingredients together.
2. Add beaten egg and fruit cocktail.
3. Stir well.
4. Pour into greased pan.
5. Sprinkle top with brown sugar and nuts.
6. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 300º.
7. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
