1 pound small red potatoes
2 1/2 cups frozen or fresh peas
1/4 cup butter, cubed
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
dash pepper
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup 2% milk
2 Tbsp sugar



Directions:
Directions:
Quarter potatoes, leaving skins on. Place in a pot, cover with paper and bring to a boil for about 10 minutes. Do not over cook. When potatoes are done, drain the water off and set aside. In a sauce pan, melt butter, add flour salt and pepper, and sugar. Stir until mixed and then add in the milk and cream, stir in the flour mixture until all ingredients are well blended. Continue to stir until mixture has thickened and is smooth. Add potatoes and peas. Stir until thoroughly heated. Season to taste and serve while hot.

This is something I remember my mom making for us. She was a wonderful cook. She wasn't a fancy cook but everything she made was wonderful.
