1 c. melted butter
1 ½ c. sugar
2 c. diced dates
1 c. pecans, finely chopped
1 tsp vanilla
4 c. rice krispies
2 eggs
2 Tbs milk
salt

shredded coconut

Directions:
Directions:
1. melt butter, add sugar and dates

2. Beat eggs with milk and a dash of salt. Add slowly to the date mixture and heat to boiling. Boil 2 min.

3. Add nuts, vanilla and rice krispies; mix well, cool and roll walnut size balls in shredded coconut.

*Let syrup mixture cool slightly before adding the rice krispies.

I believe this recipe originally came from my dear childhood friend, Julie Bosse's mom. If not I dedicate this to Julie. She was my best friend for many years. We grew up and apart and lost touch of each other. She is no longer with us.
