"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Personal Notes:
I started making this before I married Wendell. The note on the old spiral bound index card recipe book says, “Good with strawberries – GS (Gina Siegel) 4/11/89.” That would have been when I was living alone in the cabin at Lake Madison. Magical days! If I remember correctly, though, I liked to freeze them in ice cream sundae dishes.
