Note: Grandma May seldom came for a meal at our house, or anyone else's for that matter, without bringing a dish to contribute. She loved to cook and when I was particularly busy on a holiday, she'd volunteer to bring all the side dishes. Many of the recipes for those dishes are within these pages as well.
