Note: This is just one of the many recipes in this book that originated with Grandma Bryant. Every Sunday in the memory of my childhood and on into the early years of our marriage, Grandma Bryant prepared a meal for all of us that was served on her Desert Rose dishes at the big oak table in the Bryant rec-room. Both the dishes and the oak table now reside at our house.
