1 cup butter, softened
1-tsp almond extract
1 cup powdered sugar
2¼ cup gf flour
1-tbsp maraschino cherry juice
½ cup maraschino cherries, finely chopped
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (I like minis)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF and cover cookie sheets with parchment paper.
2. In large mixing bowl with mixer, beat butter until smooth and creamy.
3. Beat in almond extract and powdered sugar.
4. Slowly (and on low speed) add flour, mixing until incorporated.
5. Mix in maraschino cherries and juice.
6. Stir in chocolate chips.
7. Roll into 1” balls and place on parchment paper.
8. Flatten balls with greased glass.
9. Bake for 12-to-14 minutes.
10. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before moving to cooling rake to finish cooling.
