Ingredients for dough:
1 cup butter, softened
⅔ cup sugar
½ teaspoon almond extract
2 cups flour
⅓-½ cup seedless raspberry jam

Ingredients for glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2-3 teaspoons water
½ teaspoon almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar in a mixing bowl.
2. Beat in extract.
3. Gradually add flour until dough forms a ball.
4. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until easy to handle.
5. Roll into 1-inch balls.
6. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets.
7. Using the end of a wooden spoon handle, make an indentation in the center of each ball.
8. Fill with jam.
9. Bake at 350º for 14-18 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
10. Remove to wire racks to cool.
11. Spoon additional jam into cookies if desired.
12. Combine glaze ingredients, and drizzle over cookies.

5/09 Maddie, one of Jasmine's besties, made this in fifth grade for their trading project in Mr. Skogen's Social Studies class. Jasmine traded her little heart bean bags for Maddie's cookies. They were SO good.
