1 cups butter, softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 ½ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt
3 cups oatmeal- quick or old fashioned
1 cup dates
1 cup black walnut

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º F.
Beat together butter and sugar until creamy
Add eggs and vanilla,, beat well
Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well
Stir in oats, dates and black walnuts. Mix well.
Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 11 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to rack
