2 1/4 cups of flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. In one small bowl, combine four, baking soda, & salt. Set aside.
3. In a different large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, & shortening.
4. Blend until creamy.
5. Add eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition.
6. Add vanilla & blend.
7. Add flour, salt, & baking soda mixture a small amount at a time, blending well after each addition.
8. Add chocolate chips & stir.
9. Cut a sheet of parchment paper just large enough to cover bottom of pan.
10. Drop dough, (don't roll with hands) by tsp fulls (no measuring spoons) onto cooking sheet about 1 inch apart.
11. Bake for 7-10 mins until light golden brown.
12. Remove from cooking sheet & allow to cool on a cooling rack.
