1 Cup Shortening
1 3 oz. package cream cheese
1 Cup Sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. grated orange rind (fine)

Sift together:
2 ½ Cups all purpose flour
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixer cream shortening and cream cheese well - add sugar gradually and continue creaming

beat in egg yolk, vanilla extract and orange rind

add the sifted flour, salt, and cinnamon to creamed mixture.

Fill a cookie press - form cookies on ungreased cookie sheet or backing stone - decorate with colored sugar or any cookie topping you wish

Bake at º350 for 10 - 12 minutes or until slightly brown

Remove at once to a cooling rack

Refrigerate at least overnight - Dough can be refrigerated for a week before using.
