Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Combine first three dry ingredients in small bowl

Beat softened but not melted butter with both sugars until creamy

Add vanilla

Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition

Gradually add in dry ingredients

Stir in chocolate chips and nuts by hand

Bake 9 to 11 minutes until golden brown around edges I tend to underbake a little to keep them soft.

Cool on cookie sheet a few minutes! Enjoy!!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I cannot even begin to tell everywhere these cookies have traveled! I know they were a hit at boarding school where Jonathan sold them to his friends for a small profit. The cookies have been mailed internationally but also baked fresh for the Scottish wedding! I was honored! These cookies are also known as the "disappearing cookies"----even before making it into the oven, the dough often disappears right from the pan--Stephen--though no one has shown symptoms of salmonella --at least in front of his mother--from eating raw cookie dough! Hmmmm--remains a mystery! Thank you Nestle for making me a most popular mom when the kiddos were growing up!!
