1 pound scallops
12 small mushrooms, stems removed
1/2 large green bell pepper, cut into 8 1-inch squares
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
4 slices bacon
4 slices cheddar cheese
4 thick lemon wedges

Directions:
Directions:
In a pie plate, combine butter, lemon juice, oil, salt, and pepper. Add scallops, mushrooms, and green pepper pieces. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes, tossing occasionally.

Preheat broiler.

Fry bacon until brown but not crisp; drain on paper towels.

Run a skewer through one end of a slice of bacon, and then lace scallops, mushrooms and green pepper on the skewer. Repeat on three more skewers.

Broil skewers for 10 minutes, turning frequently. When skewered food is done, top with cheese strips, overlapping if necessary. Broil until the cheese melts.
