3 Tbl. bacon grease
3 slices of bacon
1 medium head of cabbage, cored and chopped fine

Directions:
Directions:
Cut bacon into pieces, fry until crisp (not burnt) Place fine sliced and chopped cabbage into skillet.
Lightly salt cabbage, then stir to mix in the bacon and bacon grease with the cabbage.
Put a small amount water to ensure that it doesn't burn, turn heat on low. Cook until done to your taste..... Grandma liked it well done, she always invited June and I back in her part of the house to share it with her. Between the three of us we usually finished it off.
