2 cups packed light brown sugar
2 ½ cups flour
½ cup margarine at room temperature
1 cup walnut, chopped
1 egg
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups apples, chopped, about 2

Crumb Topping
¾ cup flour
¾ cup sugar
½ cup margarine

Directions:

Coat the inside of a 9” x 13” pan with cooking spray. Combine sugar and flour in a large bowl and cut in butter until mixture is fine. Stir in walnuts. Measure out 2 cups of mixture and press firmly into even layer on bottom of the prepared pan.

Slightly beat eggs and mix in sour cream, baking soda, cinnamon and vanilla. Combine with remaining nut mixture until smooth. Gently stir in apples, pour over the crust and smooth top. For the crumb topping, mix flour and sugar in a bowl. Cut in margarine with pastry blender until crumbly and sprinkle evenly over the batter. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes until cake pulls away from side of pan.
