1 lb. butter
4 cups flour
4 egg yolks, slightly beaten
2 packages dry yeast
½ cup warm water
2 teaspoon sugar

Filling
2/3 cup sugar
4 tablespoon margarine
4 tablespoon milk
2 egg yolks
2 ½ cup ground walnuts

For the dough, preheat oven to 350º. Combine the ½ cup warm water with the dry yeast and sugar. Stir to dissolve and set aside while making the rest of the dough.

Cut the butter into the flour mixture until the texture resembles coarse cornmeal. Add beaten egg yolks and mix well. Combine the yeast mixture with the flour mixture and mix well; dough will be sticky. Refrigerate overnight.

The next day, roll dough in small portions on confectioner sugar. Cut into 2 inch squares and place filling in center. Fold corner over to form triangles; press edges together with for tines; place on cookie sheet and bake.

To make the filling, combine all but the walnuts in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Once boiling take off the heat and add walnuts. Let cool before filling cookies.
