fresh green beans
hamhocks or ham slices
cut up onion
salt
small new potatoes
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cover green beans with water, add ham , salt, onion and water to cover. Bring to a boil then simmer 1 hour. Add potatoes, bring to a boil again, add water, then simmer again for 1 hour. Cut ham into pieces then season to taste.

Family Memories from John Vaught: Uncle Kenny Aud obtained tickets to the Detroit Tigers Baseball game and just made the day for this eleven year old boy-box seats-Mr. Briggs Box. It was a great day filled with events that have lasted a life time. I was given a baseball signed by all the tigers and it was a special keepsake for many many years. . .
