M&M shortbread Cookies Recipe

1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter, softened
2 c. flour
1/2 c. M&M minis

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Beat together the butter and powdered sugar.
Slowly add the flour about a half cup at a time, mixing a bit in between each addition.
The mixture will look crumbly at first, but the dough will come together after a few minutes. If needed, add water, one teaspoon at a time, to help dough form. Don't add too much --don't want sticky dough.
Gently mix in the M&Ms with a spatula or wooden spoon.
Turn dough out onto floured surface and roll out to a 1/4" thick rectangle. Cut dough into 12 rectangles.
Bake 20-25 minutes until edges begin to turn a light golden brow.
Let cool completely on wire rack.
