Ingredients:  
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
1/4 lb butter (1 stick)
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 cup shredded coconut
1 cup chopped pecans (may substitute walnuts)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine milk, sugar, egg yolks and butter in sauce pan.
Cook over medium heat for about 12 minutes until thick. Do not worry if it curdles a bit.
Take off of the heat.
Add in vanilla, coconut and nuts and beat by hand.
Makes 2 2/3 cup frosting.
