For the sauce:

1 28ounce can of peeled tomatoes (or 3 8ounce cans of tomato sauce)
2 cans tomato paste
3 glasses water
2 cubes beef boullion
Onion powder
Oregano
Basil leaves
Salt
Dash of sugar
Add meat of choice (meatballs/sausage/bracciole)

For the Meatballs:

1 package chopped meat
4 large eggs
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Oregano
Bread crumbs

For the meatballs:

1. Beat eggs and seasonings together
2. Break up meat and add to mixture
3. Add breadcrumbs until meatballs stay together.
4. Place meat into pan with olive oil over low/medium heat to brown the meat

For the sauce:

1. Purée tomatoes and paste together
2. In large pot, combine tomatoes mixture, seasonings, bouillon and water. Stir frequently. Add oil from browned meat.
3. Once mixture is boiling, add meat of choice and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook approximately 1-1½ hours, adding water if needed to maintain desired consistency.

Great grandma typically would make small “baby meatballs” for the kids that she would cook outside of the sauce and serve plain.
