Self Rising Cornmeal
1 onion chopped
5 stalks of celery chopped
5-6 cups of chicken broth
20 crackers
6 slices of bread toasted
3 eggs
salt
pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Follow the directions on the cornmeal to make a large pan of cornbread. Mix the chopped onions and celery in the batter and cook as directed. Pour the broth into a large roaster type pan. Crumble crackers, toasted bread, and cornbread into the pan and mash with a potato masher. Salt and pepper to taste. Add 3 eggs before cooking. Cook at 350 degrees for approx. 1 hour.

This is the recipe that my sister and I asked our mom to give us before she passed away. She said, "There's really not a recipe, but this is what I do to make it."
