2 cups milk
2 cups water
1/4 cup sugar
2 packages yeast (in 1/4 cup warm water)
6 tablespoons molasses
6 1/2 cups white flour
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/4 cup white flour
6 tablespoons butter or Crisco (melted)
1 tablespoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the water and milk to lukewarm. Dissolve the yeast in water.
Add sugar and salt and stir until dissolved. Add yeast, butter, and 5 cups white flour, beat until smooth
Add molasses, whole wheat flour and remaining white flour - knead until smooth
Let rise until double in size - punch down and let rise again until nearly double in size.
Shape into 3 loaves.
Bake at 350º for 40-45 minutes
