3/4 c butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla or 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly mix butter, sugar eggs and flavoring
Blend in baking powder, salt and flour

Cover and chill at least 1 hour
Heat the oven to 400º
Roll dough to 1/8" thick on lightly floured cloth covered board
Cut into desired shapes and place on ungreased baking sheet
Bake 6-8 minutes or until very light brown
